The Manhattan Mercury carried this set of ads on December 2, 1979. Out of the 18 businesses listed, only three still remain in operation in Manhattan. Things do change, now don’t they 🙂

125 Years of Aggieville Tradition

For the last two months I’ve been working on a condensed history of Aggieville. The book is finally completed and sent to the printers! It should be on local shelves by the start of August.

The 64-page book is 8.5×11 and printed in full color. Every page has at least one picture, a few of which are being published for the first time. The price is $9.95 and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Aggieville 125th Anniversary celebration planned for Saturday, September 20, 2014.

The book will be available at Varney’s Book Store, The Dusty Bookshelf, Varsity Donuts, and various other locations around town – and hopefully around the state!
